Texas Engineering Services

Pillar Engineering, LLC is a professional engineering and consulting firm in Corpus Christi, Texas. The primary services offered include Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering, with an emphasis on Windstorm Design and Inspections.

Our clients range from private homeowners to real estate developers and investors. We service a large geographical area primarily on the gulf coast of Texas from Cameron County to Aransas County. However, we will service just about anywhere in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.

  • Kyle Hooper, PE

    Kyle is a project engineer for Pillar Engineering, LLC. He received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A & M Kingsville in 2010. He is a licensed Professional  Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. He is an Appointed Qualified Inspector with the Texas Department of Insurance (AQI) and a private pilot license holder. Kyle has affiliations with the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Wood Council, National Home builders Association, Texas Home Builders Association, Coastal Bend Home Builders Association (CBHBA), Associated General Contractors of America, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Experimental Aircraft Association (lifetime member). He currently serves as the codes committee chair for the CBHBA as well as a technical advisor on the City of Corpus Christi Technical Advisory Committee for the Unified Development Code and technical advisor for the City of Port Aransas Code council. Kyle is an entrepreneur at heart with a growth mindset. He believes in developing life long relationships with the basic principles of radical transparency and unconditional communication. In his free time, Kyle enjoys spending time with his family at their favorite restaurant (CASH Cafe), traveling, flying, and just about every type of sport.

  • Anastasia Guerra

    Anastasia Guerra, EIT

    Anastasia is a member of the engineering project team for Pillar Engineering, LLC.  She received her bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, summa cum laude from Texas A&M University - Kingsville in 2024. Anastasia has previously held leadership roles at the A&M Kingsville campus as President of the Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Pi, and Senator for the College of Engineering in the Student Government Association. She was honored at the Spring 2024 Texas A&M - Kingsville graduation ceremony as the Distinguished Student for the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering. She has worked as a  Supplemental Teacher (SI) for engineering courses such as Statics and Strength of Materials at the A&M campus. Anastasia is a strong-willed problem solver who is big-picture focused. She enjoys crocheting, listening to music, and traveling in her free time.

  • Roman Longoria, EIT

    Roman Longoria is a passionate and driven Mechanical Engineer who earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in Spring 2025. He holds EIT accreditation, having successfully passed the FE Mechanical Exam. Roman’s journey and passion for engineering was inspired by his grandfather, an architect who served as a critical mentor throughout his life. Throughout high school, Roman was a dedicated engineer and member of a state-level robotics team, contributing over 300 hours of volunteer service through FIRST Robotics. Roman is deeply committed to mentoring others and building strong relationships, always striving for growth and continuous improvement. Outside of engineering, Roman is a proud second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, serving as an instructor and mentor for students. In his free time, Roman loves listening to music and playing video games. He also enjoys staying active and has won a USA Powerlifting competition, showcasing his dedication to physical fitness and personal growth.

  • Caroline Preece, EIT

    Caroline is an engineer-in-training at Pillar Engineering, LLC. In 2024, she received her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. She then studied in the Structural Engineering master’s program until June 2025 and is preparing to defend her thesis in December 2025. Caroline was the president of the BYU chapter of the Structural Engineers Association of Utah from 2023-2026 where she fostered connection between emerging engineers and the community. With her years of academic work and previous firm experience, she enjoys the hands-on and interactive aspects of structural engineering. Her passions outside of engineering include cooking for friends, traveling with her husband, photography, and playing the cello.
